Things to Do in Boston This St. Patrick’s Day Weekend

St Patrick's Day

Looking for a few exciting things to do this St Patrick’s Day weekend in Boston? Look no further – we have our three favorite picks for you! Read below.

Boston St. Patrick’s Day Parade (of course!) – March 17, 1P | South Boston (Southie). The South Boston St. Patrick’s Day Parade is a time-honored event every March here in Boston. The huge St. Patrick’s Day Parade in South Boston takes center stage on the Sunday closest to March 17th, attracting up to one million spectators. You’ll enjoy the colorful floats, Irish and American pipe and drum bands, and enthusiastic crowds.Just be sure to wear green!

Boston Flower & Garden Show – Through Sunday, March 18 | Seaport World Trade Center, Boston. Clearly — and in our opinion, sadly — it’s not spring yet. But you can pretend for a while at the Boston Flower & Garden Show, packed with events and activities for garden enthusiasts, and landscape creations for those of us who just need to see a little green.

Dropkick Murphys – March 17, 8P | 15 Lansedown St, Boston. The Boston rockers continue their annual St. Patrick’s Day tradition of taking over the House of Blues for a week full of shows. While many of the performances are already sold out, there are still a few tickets available for the band’s acoustic set on Saturday night, which also comes with a few pro boxing matches.

And as awlast, we’ll be serving amazing beer and cocktail specials throughout the Shamrock Day weekend. Stop in anytime and just traverse up to the bar. In need of a bit more replenishment? Make a reservation for our famous brunch. We can promise you – it will not disappoint!

And let’s not forget about the music & dancing – a great night awaits you!

Each year this event raises half of the annual budget to support the #NSL Mission, which is twofold: the beautification of Newbury Street and the continued marketing and support of our member businesses that make the street what it is today!

You can choose between our famous sweet stuffed french toast, or our famous lobster benedict. Actually, it’s your brunch – you can have both if you want! The options for brunch are unlimited, and your favorites are sure to be on our menu.

It helps your Insta game – What other reasons are there for brunch other than delicious food and scintillating mimosas? Why, Insta pics of course! We all do it – once that beautiful brunch dish comes out fresh from the kitchen, we grab our phones and snap a pic on Ig. And we sure do love using hashtag favs such as #FoodPorn, #InstaFood and #Yummy! Be sure to use #TheRoost next time you brunch with us and get your pics profiled!

By the way, did you know that we now offer brunch SEVEN DAYS A WEEK? Yes, you can taste all that your heart desires on our brunch menu (with mimosas!) any day of the week you please. Open Newbury

Looking for something to do in Boston the last half of this summer? Come check out Open Newbury!

There are only three times this whole year when you can stroll down Boston’s famed Newbury Street in historic Back Bay without stressing about traversing the traffic and the possibility of getting ran over, and that’s during this spectacular street event. Newbury street is closing down for pedestrians only to shop around and taste the delicious cuisines only found here.

What: Open Newbury

Where: Newbury Street – Between Arlington St to Massachussetts Ave

When: August 13th, September 10th

How: Thank you Boston!

The first Open Newbury just went off spectacularly this last Sunday. It was an absolutely beautiful day! We were out there to greet our visitors and offer up samples of our zesty delights at our table right there on the street. From savory baguette bites to sweet cranberry pecan bread to refreshing evian, our guests were able to sample what Roost Bistro and sister restaurant, the Patisserie on Newbury, has to offer. We also gave out coupons to our Roost Bistro reopening, happening this August 15th, for complimentary appetizers upon dining with us and checking out our revitalized menus.

The next Open Newbury, on August 13th, our team along with our family from Patisserie on Newbury will be out in full force with delicious sweet and savory samples of our new dishes along with refreshing lemonade for a $1. Think you might need a recharge while taking in all the sights and sounds of Open Newbury? We’ve got you covered – $1 cups of our famed iced coffee. And if you come early enough, you might be able to get a spot to play a game of cornhole!

So come out to Open Newbury to sneak-a-peek at what’s to come from our revitalized menu and taste the deliciousness that is surely to keep you coming back the rest of the season. We are also giving out coupons again for complimentary appetizers during the reopening of the Roost Bistro. We’d like to sincerely thank our fans for their patience while we get our light renovation and revamped menus ready for an even greater dining experience! .
